minimood believes in the art form of minimal electronic music, and envisions the creation of an innovative and paradigmatic-free platform. Not just another minimal label, the emphasis lies on the evolutionary aspect to unveil new drifts and non-conventional paths for the now rather mature minimalism movement.

This objective is underlined by the label's constant search for talented, unknown artists, who dwell deep in the underground, being disposed with a non-standard touch and passionate drive. In amalgamation with carefully selected upcoming artists that already form part of the avant-garde in the scene, it is intended to release freshly squeezed sounds and ideas.

Finally and importantly, minimood strongly feels about the medium vinyl for the electronic music scene in terms of its cultural value, instantaneous form of expression, unique warm sound and the inexplicable fascination it is capable of eliciting.

minimood was founded in 2007 by volt.mar, Erich Bogatzky and Hubert Vroom and features artists like Fusiphorm, Seuil, Koljah, So Inagawa, Mark Henning, Treplec, Daso, Gregorythme and others. The label’s debut release “Green Chocolate” by Fusiphorm was a huge success which hit clubbers at peaktime worldwide. Koljah’s “Exploding cake Remix” was charted in the tops of Troy Pierce, Sebo K, Pan-Pot, Dave DK, Italoboyz and many more. The first release turned into a classic and instantly brought several license requests to the label including one from Ivan Smagghe.

The success continued with the second release which was licensed by Peace Division for their latest compilation on NRK. Today the label has established a large crowd of supporters including Laurent Garnier, Anthony Collins, Mathias Kaden, Dave DK, Someone Else, Remute, Satoshi Tomiie, Jeff Samuel, and many others.

With the growing the success of the label and it’s growing artists core, minimood label nights were enthusiastically celebrated in several european cities.
