The man with the golden arms has started his personal musical extravaganza around his Bavarian home Trostberg -not far from "big car parking lot" Munich, where he landed in 1993. Having soon teamed up with the Disko B gang, he became a resident at glittering Disco-hell Ultraschall. Around 1995, he started the Project Dakar&Grinser together with Christian Kreuz aka DJ Dakar, which should become a milestone in crossfading electronic music long before the mean term "Electroclash" has been invented (check out "I wanna be your dog" or "Stay with me"). With his wife - Tina Winkhaus, he founded the hi-end 10" label "Fortina"(guess why they called it "forTina").
In 2000 Michelle Grinser moved to Berlin. What followed, was a residency at spectacular 103 club and another one at magic techno heaven "Panoramabar/Ostgut"
Musically, he quit Dakar& Grinser and formed the mysterious Monster Pop Group "Grom" together with Florian Horwath aka Dj Tschamba Fii.
Their supercrunchy Club Boomerang "Love/Rocket"(released on ladomat 2000) hasn’t stopped to provoke euphoria and rock floors worldwide yet
In 2005 Dakar & Grinser are reunited and proof that 1999 is long ago! Okay, punk was still an influence on their last record „Triumph of Flesh“ on Disko B. Their infamous sleazoid nightclubbing grooves also suck and lick electric energy from kinky house tunes. Just listen to their smasher „25 Reptile“ and feel the phatt funk crawling down below your waist! And if you know Dakar & Grinser you will be aware that behind all these grooves two cowboys roam somewhere between „Dreams, Drugs and Nightmares“ and „Better Times“.
After the 2006 Dakar & Grinser “Triumph of Flesh” – Album Tour he steps out in 2007 with his new Solo – Project named Grinser. The first release “Swallow my Pant” comes on “Southern States” minimal house fortress – St. Louis based Alphahouse Limited label. Respectively it’s one of those Grinser’s outputs which truly deserve words like groovy, athmospheric and classy.
